Dr. Liz Grimshaw (previously Gettinger) graduated from the University of Florida (BS in Animal Sciences) before proceeding to North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She continued her education in a small animal rotating internship at Colorado State University.  Dr. Grimshaw performed research in Cardiology at NCSU as well as research in surgery at CSU.

Her professional interests include surgery and exotic pet medicine as well as pain management. Dr. Grimshaw and her husband’s love of the mountains and their horses led them to settle in Evergreen. Her hobbies include riding her horses in endurance rides, running, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and other activities. They share their home with three horses and multiple dogs.
